paperclips for printing
i teach letterpress and one of the techniques i teach is wire printing. basically you bend wire into the shape you want and use the wire as a surface for relief printing. one of my students, kim shigihara, used a heart shaped paperclip for her wire and it turned out awesome. plus she gave us all paperclips on the last day of class, which was also awesome.

ring clips - update
i joyously received the ring clips i ordered on etsy, and i was surprised to find them to be larger than the original i have. i am so glad to have this lovely box of ring clips, but the search continues for the wee clips!

ring clips - joy!
long ago when i was in grad school a friend gave me an old, strange little paperclip and i've been wanting more ever since. it's called a "ring clip" and the only source i have since found was no longer in business. until chocolateletters on etsy! hurray!
